This is an old blessed version of the Berkeley client.
It's a straight port of the Mehlhaff's client (mehlhaff@soda.berkeley.edu)
The client compiled pretty cleanly without much hacking. But the
client seems to go on into an infinite when run. The problem
was with some math functions in the rotatebitmap functions
(it might have to do with the fact that I'm using kernel based
math i386, don't have a fp processor). Anyway, compiling without
the rotatebitmap option seems to work fine.
This client also now handles the bug with the older client which
core dumped if a ".xtrekrc" file was found in the main directory.
Shouldn't core dump any more (at least I hope).
As always, contact me for problems: genie@netcom.com

This version has been compiled under libc.so.4.2. uder 0.99p4.
This should fix problems for those who were unsuccessful
in using the older client.
Any problems, contact me at genie@netcom.com

2/1
For those of you having problems with not having the libc.so.2.2
libraries (yes they are old libraries) please get then from
netcom.com under: pub/genie/xtrek
I'll upgrade GCC to 2.3.2 in 2 weeks or so, but until then,
I won't be able to put up a binary linked with libc.so.4.x.

This is a blessed (reserved.c) version of the UDP client
for Netrek. It is a straight compilation of the
Terence Chang code.
If you have any problems, send mail to
